Delivering health and natural goodness worldwide begins with healthy, energetic Nikken employees.
Our corporate objective is to contribute to the well-being of people across the globe (bringing better health to the greatest number). That begins with healthy, energetic Nikken employees. As a company prioritizing food and well-being, we proactively support our employees' health in myriad ways to enable them to live robust lives with sound mental and physical health.
Providing healthy food
Employee Cafeteria –Nikken supports an employee cafeteria that is managed in-house with menus prepared by employees who are certified dieticians.
Honor-system Farm Stand -Fresh organic fruits and vegetables grown seasonally on our onsite organic farm are sold to employees at a discount.
Harvest Festival -Held several times each year, the Harvest Festival provides food and nutritional information while allowing employees and their families to harvest organic fruits and vegetables as well as to plant seedlings.
Promoting exercise opportunities
Fitness Corner -Located in the office building, the fitness corner is equipped to sports gym standards and is open to employees for use during their free time.
Club Activity Subsidies -Nikken sponsors various club activities and offers a subsidy system to help cover club operations. This encourages increased opportunities to enjoy exercise through activities such as table tennis, tennis, and golf.
Medical support
Health Consultations -Health consultation with an industrial physician is offered once each month. A wide range of consultation topics is supported to ensure the mental and physical health of our employees.
Specific Health Guidance -A public health nurse from the National Health Insurance Association offers onsite health guidance to eligible employees during working hours.
Vaccination Subsidy -Nikken fully subsidizes influenza vaccinations.
Nikken's headquarter plant rests in the heart of Japan: Fukuroi City in Shizuoka Prefecture. We look ahead to further development with the local community in harmony with the environment.
Our positive philosophy is that "nothing is impossible" and that varied experiences are good for the individual. We put this into action with a positive corporate culture. Though grounded in a shared large-scale philosophy, we also emphasize that it is only natural to respect individual differences.
Nikken promises a vitalizing work environment in which all are respected and are fairly and impartially evaluated.
Education (company tours/work experience)
Nikken accepts corporate tours and internships for local elementary and junior/senior high school students and teachers. We also dispatch our employees as lecturers for comprehensive education classes at nearby elementary schools.
Contributing to the local community (facility usage/event sponsorship)
Nikken regularly makes its baseball ground available for community events, routinely sponsors the Fukuroi Fireworks Festival, and contributes to the community in many other ways.
Preservation of our historical environment (ruins)
Nikken contributes to the preservation of the Ugari Cave Tumulus (dating back some 1,300-1,700 years), important ruins located on our headquarters site.
Since what we manufacture is so broadly used in food items, we only deliver Nikken products to customers which are safe and reliable enough for ourselves and our children to eat.
Consumers may not often encounter the name Nikken Foods, ensuring that we strive all the harder to earn the trust of our customers.Nikken has a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in place to ensure swift restoration of production lines in the event of a disaster, minimizing risk and customer inconvenience, and safeguarding delivery of products trusted by direct customers and consumers in general.
Food defense
Precautions such as a reinforced security system and fencing help prevent unauthorized entry to factory buildings.
Preparation of manuals
Our disaster readiness manuals cover events such as natural disasters, infectious diseases, and nuclear accidents.
Securing power and resources
Nikken has secured the supply of water, electricity, and gas, ensuring the continuity of our core business in the event of a disaster.
Water -We drilled an onsite well and established a dedicated purification facility which, together with our generator, will ensure ongoing operations in the event of a disaster.
Power -Our cogeneration system ensures that most electricity required for operations is produced in-house, with purchase from the power company compensating for the difference. Thus, operations can continue even during a disaster.
Gas -We stock fuel through our LNG satellite terminal (natural gas supply facility).
